Initial situation

swenex was already using Office 365 with Teams as their collaboration and internal telephony solution. However, telephone calls with external partners were handled by a separate solution. Therefore, the entire collaboration environment was to be unified and modernized. Another goal was to enable Microsoft Teams to be used for external telephony as well.

Solution

In cooperation with Swisscom and the existing telephony partner, the first consultations for the new solution were made. A migration plan was then drawn up together with the customer. Requirements were recorded and configurations planned. Finally, the telephony solution was tested extensively in a small pilot group. The project was completed by training courses for the internal IT of swenex. Subsequently, the employees themselves could start using the Teams telephony solution. Thanks to this solution, swenex can now also easily make external calls via Teams.
